COCO-MAT Athens BC, on Falirou, says it is a few minutes' walk away. AthensWas and COCO-MAT describe themselves as five-star and Herodion as four-star. Akropoli metro station, 2 minutes from Syntagma on Line 2, is 200 m from AthensWas and a three-minute walk from Herodion.

Questions before you go
Which hotel is closest to the metro?
AthensWas puts Akropoli station 200 m away and Herodion a three-minute walk. COCO-MAT does not give a distance; it says a metro station is nearby and the museum a few minutes' walk.
How do I get from the airport to a Makrygianni hotel?
Take Metro Line 3 to Syntagma (about 40 minutes) and change to Line 2 for one stop to Akropoli; the €9 airport ticket is valid for 90 minutes, so it covers the change. A licensed taxi charges a flat €50 by day or €65 from midnight to 05:00 to the city-centre inner ring; Herodion puts the ride at about 45 minutes.
Do the hotels have parking?
COCO-MAT says it has none and points to the Syngrou-Fix car park, about 550 m away. AthensWas and Herodion do not mention parking on their contact and location pages, so ask before you book.
Can I use the COCO-MAT rooftop?
No. The hotel says the rooftop terrace and its facilities, including the pool, have been closed indefinitely since March 2024 under a government directive.
