Your data

Privacy policy

Athens Guide is a reading-only travel guide. We keep data collection minimal, run no advertising trackers, and never sell your information.

What this policy covers

This policy explains how the Athens Guide website (athensguide.app) handles information when you read it. The site is published by an independent editorial operator and has no user accounts, logins, or checkout.

What we collect

  • Aggregate, privacy-respecting analytics โ€” anonymous page views and link clicks that tell us which guides help. No advertising profiles and no cross-site ad tracking.
  • Nothing you type โ€” the site has no contact forms, sign-ups, or comments, so we do not collect names, emails, or messages through it. To reach us you email directly (see Contact).
  • A language preference may be stored in your browser so the site can remember English, French, or German.

Affiliate links and third parties

Some pages carry clearly-labelled partner links to Viator and GetYourGuide. If you click one, you leave Athens Guide for that company's own site, which sets its own cookies under its own privacy policy. We may receive an anonymous referral credit if you book, but we do not receive your personal booking details. See the affiliate disclosure for more.

How we use information

We use aggregate analytics only to understand which content is useful and to improve coverage. We do not sell, rent, or share personal data, and we do not build advertising profiles.

Your rights

If you are in the EU or UK, you have the right to access, correct, or erase any personal data we hold and to object to its processing. Because the site builds no personal profiles, there is usually nothing to retrieve โ€” but you can always email us with a request (see Contact).

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site evolves. Any material change will be reflected on this page.
