Metro
Metro Line 2 to Neos Kosmos, then the municipal bus
The nearest metro station is Neos Kosmos on Line 2, about 1.8 km from the square. The municipal bus leaves the station about every 60 minutes, alternating between Ano and Kato Nea Smyrni; the timetable is a PDF on the municipality's transport page.
Bus
From the airport
Take Metro Line 3 to Syntagma (about 40 minutes, €9 airport ticket) or the all-night X95 bus (€5.50), then tram T6 for 17 minutes. Nea Smyrni is outside the central zone of the airport taxis' flat fare, so other pricing applies. Check STASY's current Line 3 timetable before an evening airport trip. Its dated works notice covered 11–15 and 18–22 October 2026, when late direct trains were curtailed and the temporary X20 linked Ambelokipi with Halandri. Do not plan around X20 or the 21:06/21:10 last-through times without a current operator notice. The X95 from Syntagma is an all-night alternative.
