Neighbourhood guide

Koukaki: Filopappou Hill, café streets and the metro below the Acropolis

Koukaki is a residential neighbourhood between Filopappou Hill, the Acropolis Museum and Syngrou Avenue, with Metro Line 2 and tram T6 at Syngrou-Fix and a pedestrian street of cafés and bars. It suits visitors who want the Acropolis on foot and a neighbourhood where locals still live, but the Syngrou Avenue side is loud and the City of Athens records a significant rise in short-term rentals here.
